Tessa Thompson
Tessa Lynn Thompson is an American actress born on three days before Halloween, 1983, in Los Angeles. The actress is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. Her early years were spent in Los Angeles, before she relocated to Brooklyn. Her father is Afro-Panamanian in origin, and her mother of Mexican and British Isles origins. Thompson was a student at Santa Monica High School, where she was featured in several theatre productions. She enrolled in Santa Monica College after graduation with a cultural and Anthropology degree. As Juliet her character, she performed in William Shakespeare's play "Romeo as well as Juliet" at a Pasadena California production at the Boston Court Theatre. Her nomination was for the NAACP Theatre Award in the same year. Her first appearance on television was on the air in 2005. She was on CBS.
